In my experience, using nail varnish remover has only spread the colour. Nail varnish is made partially from acrylic, & once it drys its like a solid plastic, so its hard to shift. Use shaving foam. Really. There is something in it which breaks down the acrylic (so it removes acrylic paint too, this is how I first picked up this tip, being an art student).
Spray a little on & leave it for 5 mins, then gently rub away with a slightly damp cloth. If you’ve ever used carpet/upholstery cleaning foam then use it like this. Another application might be required, but it works perfectly & will remove it from clothes & general material also

my daughter got nail varnish on a new jumper i tried varnish remover & washed it its still there

I sat around getting my nails done (for a laugh) & i swear i got high off it…i dunno i didn’t realise that i was getting make up on me & i posed for pictures….

can a blob of nail varnish be put on eggs pior to incubation for marking?

Im just a little worried because my hammy just tried to bite my nail [she was going for my finger] & although theres no visible scratches in my nail varnish im worried she might have swallowed some. I might just be overreacting but I thought I’d better check. I’ve not found anything about it on the internet but I know it can be bad for cats. Thanks x

Depends on the material!
Soak the stain only in a dish with nail polish remover (dish will depending on the size of the stain). Then wash the garment as soon as possible after the stain has been removed. You may need quite a bit of nail polish remover if stain is quite large.
Or you can lay the garment over an old towel or cloth & pour the nail polish remover on to let it soak through , again wash the garment as soon as possible after the stain has been removed, as this solution is highly flammable

Dry cleaning fluid (white spirits) on a cotton ball. Dab onto stain until all gone. You may need to wash sheets a couple of times.

I already have these answers…It helps to make the varnish last longer, gives a high shine to the coloured nails & hardens the nail to keep it strong.. Prevents your nails from chipping. ANYMORE????

Try using some nail polish remover..just dab. If that doesn’t work, try & use a tiny scissors & cut just the tip of the carpet.
